Defensive Tactical Shotgun
The role that the shotgun plays today has not changed much since its introduction.
We often see the shotgun employed as a support firearm for defense. From squad cars to Marine Corps armories, the shotgun is still called upon to fulfill its original mission. During the course of this training program we will attempt to make you comfortable and proficient operators with your defense shotgun.
Training is offered to anyone who:
Is a citizen of the U.S. and is compliant in all local state and federal laws and ordinances and Owns a Defensive Shotgun, plans to own a Combat Shotgun, or is interested in learning to safely handle and use a Tactical Shotgun.
Goal: Train people in the safe and proper method of Shotgun Tactics. Also to learn new skills and improve on existing shooting skills
Objectives:
- To safely perform the five-count presentation
- To find our battle zero
- To learn proper cheek & Shoulder weld
- To learn combat loading and uploading of a tactical shotgun
- To learn exact shot placement for desired results
- To learn African & American Carry and why
- To engage multiple targets
- To safely perform incapacitation techniques
- To safely perform transition skills
- To perform deliberate fire from 25 yards, kneeling & prone
- To hone existing skills by repetition of the fundamentals
- To learn how to survive a lethal threat confrontation
Time: Class starts at 8:00 AM and continues until 5:00 PM
Location: Prado Olympic shooting park: 91 fwy to 71 Chino, exit right turn on Euclid turn left on Rincon, park at the buildings to the right. (pistol range) $15.00
Cost: The training cost is $100.00 per person. Rental shotguns are available for $20.00 which includes all accessories (shot shell ammo separate)
What to bring:
- Eye and ear protection
- Plenty of fluid & sack lunch or $7.00 for sub & chips & drink
- Comfortable loose fitting pants (bdu’s)
- Defensive shotgun with sling
- Rucksack for gear & support for battle zero
- 30 rounds of slugs 1 box of 00 buck
- 250 rounds of small game shell
- Stock shell carrier (solid)
- Sidesaddle carrier
- A sturdy belt carrier system
- Belt ammo pouch
- Knee & elbow pads always in your gear bag
- No sling carriers
- A simple military sling works well – no three point or single point
